Students Visit the Anne Frank Exhibit in NYC
On May 16th, Ms. Vidal's ESL 1 class enjoyed an educational field trip to Anne Frank The Exhibition in New York City. This trip supported their current Unit 4 curriculum focusing on heroic traits and personal narratives. It enhanced the students' understanding of resilience, courage, and human rights. It also provided historical context for students learning about the Holocaust. Furthermore, it allowed the students to connect classroom learning about Anne Frank to a real-world historical site and develop empathy and critical thinking about historical challenges.

On May 15th, our ESL IV class took a field trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. This was a wonderful opportunity for students to visit a world famous museum, and to see artifacts from various historical eras and cultures. Our ESL community is one of tremendous diversity, and this chance to explore art and history from throughout the world was appreciated by students and teachers alike.
